This project highlights a great amount of detailed hardscape, everywhere you look there is an element that catches the eye. From the custom granite caps that were fabricated for the piers and water features, to the footworn granite planks and antique cobbles that create the driveway – this project stuns with custom stonework. There are tiered ponds in the front yard complete with fountains that connect them, a black granite water feature in the rear yard, and a private sunken spa that was placed amongst the landscape as if it had been there all along. Bronze edging and bronze butterflies are inlaid at various terraces, a detail that elevates the hardscape.
Granite and bluestone walkways lead from the front of the property, through the Bier Garden, to the rear yard where the bluestone patterned terrace expands the length of the house. The built-in-grill, custom treehouse, arbor, sport court and fire pit round out the backyard, a space capable of entertaining both child and adult alike. A huge planting package encompassed the softscape, prioritizing privacy while also focusing on beauty, was key to the planting strategy.
